Multifamily Newsroom™

Terms of Service

Last updated: July 7, 2026

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of the Multifamily Newsroom™ press release distribution and publishing services (the "Services") provided by the Multifamily Innovation® Council ("we," "us," or "our"). By submitting a press release, promotion announcement, product showcase, or any other material for publication, or by paying for the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are submitting on behalf of a company, you represent that you have the authority to bind that company to these Terms.

1. Description of the Services

The Services allow you to submit announcements for editorial review, publication, and distribution through the Multifamily Newsroom™, affiliated websites, email lists, and third party newswire and media networks. Distribution channels, publication partners, and formatting vary and may change at any time without notice.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement to use the Services. By submitting material or making payment, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Publishing Rights and Your Warranties

By submitting material for publication, you represent and warrant that:

  • You own the material or have obtained all rights, licenses, consents, and permissions necessary to publish and distribute it, including all text, images, logos, trademarks, names, quotes, and likenesses of individuals it contains.
  • Every person named or pictured in the material has consented to its publication, and every quote attributed to a person is accurate and authorized.
  • The material is truthful and accurate, is not misleading, and does not omit facts needed to make it not misleading.
  • The material does not infringe any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, right of publicity, right of privacy, or other right of any third party.
  • You have the authority of the company you represent to publish the announcement.

4. License to Publish and Distribute

You retain ownership of your material. By submitting it, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty free, perpetual license to reproduce, publish, distribute, display, format, excerpt, and archive the material, in whole or in part, in any medium now known or later developed, for the purpose of providing the Services. This includes syndication to third party outlets, search engines, AI search engines, and news aggregators. Once distributed, material cannot be recalled from third party outlets.

5. Editorial Review and Acceptance

All submissions are subject to editorial review. We may edit headlines, correct formatting, adjust images, or request changes before publication. We reserve the right to reject or remove any submission at our sole discretion, including material that is inaccurate, misleading, unlawful, defamatory, infringing, offensive, or inconsistent with our editorial standards. Review does not shift responsibility for the material to us; you remain solely responsible for what you submit.

6. Prohibited Material

You may not submit material that:

  • Is false, deceptive, or misleading;
  • Is defamatory, libelous, harassing, or threatening;
  • Violates any law or regulation, including securities laws;
  • Constitutes an unauthorized offering of securities, investment advice, or financial promotions that require regulatory approval;
  • Infringes the intellectual property rights of others;
  • Contains malware, spam, or deceptive links; or
  • Discloses personal information about any person without their consent.

7. Payment and Refunds

Fees for the Services are one-time charges due at the time of submission and are listed on the submission page. Because editorial review begins promptly after payment, fees are refundable only if we decline to publish your submission or you cancel before review begins. Once your material has been published or distributed, fees are non-refundable.

8. No Guarantee of Placement or Results

Distribution means your material is made available to publications and outlets. We do not guarantee that any specific outlet will publish your material, that images will be displayed by any particular outlet, or that publication will produce any specific level of traffic, coverage, pickup, ranking, or business result. Some outlets publish text only and do not display images. Third party outlets control their own editorial decisions and formatting.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Multifamily Innovation® Council, its affiliates, and their officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to the material you submit, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error free, or that distributed material will remain available at any third party outlet.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid for the specific submission giving rise to the claim. In no event will we be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost business, or lost data, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

12. Removal and Corrections

If you discover an error in published material, contact us and we will make commercially reasonable efforts to correct or remove the material from properties we control. We cannot guarantee correction or removal from third party outlets that have already received or republished the material.

13. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information in connection with the Services is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Services, you agree to the terms of the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

14. Our Intellectual Property

The Multifamily Newsroom™ name, logo, website design, templates, and all associated trademarks and service marks are the property of the Multifamily Innovation® Council or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, trade names, or branding without our prior written consent.

15. AI Training and Data Use

In addition to the syndication rights described in Section 4, you acknowledge that material you submit may be accessed, indexed, or used by third party AI systems, search engines, and AI search engines as part of standard internet distribution, and may also be used by us to develop, train, or improve internal tools, analytics, or automated editorial systems. If you do not want your material used for this purpose, contact us before submission through the contact options on this website, though this may limit our ability to provide the Services.

16. Advertising and Disclosure Compliance

If your submission includes sponsored material, paid endorsements, affiliate links, or material for which a person or company received compensation, you are solely responsible for including all disclosures required by the FTC or other applicable regulators. We may require such disclosures as a condition of publication and may reject submissions that fail to comply.

17. DMCA Notice and Takedown

We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe material published through the Services infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent containing:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized representative;
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed;
  3. Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and its location on our properties;
  4. Your contact information (address, phone number, email);
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized; and
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Notices should be sent to our designated agent through the contact options on this website. We will remove or disable access to material we determine, in good faith, to be infringing, and may terminate accounts of repeat infringers.

18. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services, without refund, if we determine in good faith that you have violated these Terms, submitted prohibited material, initiated a chargeback in bad faith, or engaged in abusive conduct toward our staff or platform. You may stop using the Services at any time. Sections addressing the license grant, indemnification, disclaimer of warranties, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution survive any termination of your access.

19. Dispute Resolution; Arbitration; Venue

Informal resolution first. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us through the contact options on this website and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

Arbitration. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services that is not resolved informally will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association, under its applicable rules, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies.

Class action waiver. Disputes must be brought on an individual basis only. You waive any right to participate in a class, collective, or representative action.

Venue. For any dispute not subject to arbitration, the parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona.

Jury trial waiver. To the extent permitted by law, each party waives any right to a jury trial.

20. Force Majeure

We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disaster, war, terrorism, labor disputes, internet or telecommunications failures, or actions of third party outlets or distribution partners.

21. Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights under them without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

22. Notices

Notices to you may be sent to the email address associated with your submission or account. Notices to us should be sent through the contact options on this website. Notice is deemed given when sent, provided the sender has no reason to believe delivery failed.

23. No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to do so later.

24. Feedback

If you provide suggestions, ideas, or feedback about the Services, we may use them without restriction or compensation to you.

25. Non-U.S. Submitters

The Services are intended for use within the United States. If you submit material from outside the United States, you are responsible for compliance with your local laws. All fees are charged in U.S. dollars.

26. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Changes apply to submissions made after the revision date. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

27. General

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict of law principles. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force. These Terms, together with your submission and payment records, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services.

Questions about these Terms can be directed to us through the contact options on this website.
