Multifamily Innovation® Award Winners Receive a Crystal Award

Multifamily Innovation® Award Winners have the opportunity to take the national stage and receive their award at the Multifamily Innovation® Annual in person summit. Each award recipient has the opportunity to give remarks to the audience. The remarks are recorded and shared to the industry throughout the year.

Multifamily Innovation® Award Winners Official Digital Badge

Multifamily Innovation® Award Winners receive an official digital badge specific to their award category. The digital badge may be used inside email footers, presentations, social media banners, videos, and websites. The badge is intended to recognize each winner for their contributions beyond the event.

Program Information:

Multifamily Innovation® Awards is a national industry awards program recognizing individual excellence in technology and innovation in the Multifamily apartment industry.

The national awards will be presented to award winners in both Multifamily Owner/Operator and Multifamily Supplier/Vendor categories at the annual Multifamily Innovation® Summit, which also recognizes the Best Places to Work Multifamily® companies.

Important program dates:

  • January 23, 2023 is when the program opens and is accepting nominations.
  • June 14, 2023 is the last day to submit a nomination.
  • June 15, 2023 is when judging period begins.
  • August 14, 2023 is when the judging period closes.
  • September 18, 2023 is when award finalists are notified.
  • December 5-6, 2023 is the Multifamily Innovation® Summit and Awards Show.

Submission Fees:

  • Multifamily Owner/Operator - $397.00
  • Multifamily Vendor/Supplier - $797.00

Program fees are required to be paid online via credit card at the end of the nomination process.

How to Submit a Nomination:

To nominate for a Multifamily Innovation® Award, click the red button "Submit a Nomination" below and create a profile with basic information. You will be asked to create a password. If you already have created an account, just simply login.

Once you are inside the dashboard, click on "start application" then choose from one of the Multifamily Innovation® Award categories listed. Under the “award categories” drop down selector, select the dropdown field and choose either Multifamily Owner/Operator or Multifamily Vendor/Industry Supplier.

Follow the instructions to complete the submission.

Before you submit, you will have the opportunity to submit for a letter of recommendation. The software will manage the entire process and submissions will be confidential.

This award recognizes the outstanding performance of a chief financial officer in the multifamily apartment industry. Criteria for this award may include financial acumen, strategic planning, and the ability to drive financial growth.

Chief Innovation Officer Award

This award recognizes the contributions of a chief innovation officer to the multifamily apartment industry. Criteria for this award may include the development and implementation of innovative programs and initiatives, as well as the ability to drive organizational change.

Chief Technology Officer Award

This award recognizes the outstanding performance of a chief technology officer in the multifamily apartment industry. Criteria for this award may include technical expertise, strategic planning, and the ability to drive technological innovation.

Community Impact Award

This award recognizes multifamily apartment companies that have made a positive impact on their local community through charitable initiatives, volunteer work, or other community-focused efforts.

Human Resources

This award recognizes excellence in the management and development of human resources in the multifamily apartment industry. Criteria for this award may include the effectiveness of recruitment and retention strategies, the development and implementation of employee programs, and the ability to create a positive and inclusive work culture.

Development Award

This award recognizes the outstanding performance of a development team in the multifamily apartment industry. Criteria for this award may include the successful development and delivery of multifamily apartment communities, as well as the ability to navigate complex development processes.

Emerging Technology Award

This award recognizes the innovative use of emerging technologies in the multifamily apartment industry. Criteria for this award may include the successful implementation and adoption of new technologies, as well as the ability to drive technological innovation.

Executive of the Year

This award recognizes the outstanding performance of an executive in the multifamily apartment industry. Criteria for this award may include leadership, strategic vision, and the ability to drive business growth.

Lifetime Achievement Award

This award recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to the multifamily apartment industry over the course of their 20 year career.

Multifamily Innovation® Renovation and Rehabilitation Award

This award recognizes excellence in the renovation and rehabilitation of multifamily apartment communities.
